Halve pumpkin and remove seeds. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice. Roast until it's soft. Or roast until you start to panic wondering whether it's soft enough. Whichever.
Puree. Combine with milk and egg mixture. Pray. er... I mean chill.
Several hours after I put it in the refrigerator it was still warm. I'm going to let it chill for 12 hours because, as you can see, I'm nothing if I'm not a perfectionist in the kitchen.
