Share on TwitterThat's some spicy horseradish. The gefilte fish turned out good but not great. I don't know if it was the brand that I used or my preparation. I took the picture before I added some of the carrots that were boiled with the fish.
You could also serve it with celery if you'd thought to throw some celery in the pot. Horseradish is a classic match for gefilte fish. I've also enjoyed it with a tomato based sauce. And I've also enjoyed it with a little bit of honey, although that got some strange looks from my dinner companions. Another obvious choice would be your favorite hot sauce, say Blair Q Wasabi Green Tea?
