My favorite. My mother made it when I was little and now I make it. It's the only baking recipe I know by heart. Of course I keep changing around some of the ingredients. Otherwise the recipe is very easy (and cheap):
250g (soft) Butter, 4-5 eggs, 400g flour, 250g sugar, 1 pack baking soda, 1 pack vanilla sugar, 1 pinch of salt and 200g dark chocolate (in pieces). Mix together and bake at 180°C for about an hour.
I sometimes add nuts, almonds or cinnamon. Also very good some red wine, rum or amaretto ... up to a cup full.
