Recipe, for those interested:
(modified from a Cooking Light recipe)
2 C. cleaned, sliced strawberries
1 1/2 Tbsp Sugar
2 Tbsp Disaronno (or other Amaretto / almond liqueur)
Amaretti cookies
Sour Cream
Combine strawberries, sugar and Disaronno in bowl and mix to coat berries. Cover and refrigerate between 1 to 2 hours.
Spoon strawberries into small bowls, making sure to get a little bit of the syrup in each bowl. Top with crumbled amaretti cookies (about 2 cookies per bowl or however much looks good to you).
Use a fork to blend sour cream until smooth. Dollop bowl with sour cream.
Enjoy! Very light and refreshing. I gobbled mine up!! :)
