This was a bit of an "on the fly" recipe, so I don't have any measured quantities to share.

I steamed some asparagus and let them cool.

I chopped up some bacon, and cooked it up in a deep sauce pan. After it was cooked through, I removed it from the pan, and sauteed some shallots and a touch of garlic in the bacon grease until they were starting to caramelize. Then I added the bacon back in, poured in some cream and a little bit of milk, and brought up to a scald. I seasoned with mixed Italian seasonings and then chopped the asparagus into bite-sized pieces and tossed them in.

While that was going on, I boiled up some bow tie pasta. Once it was done, I drained it and added it to the sauce. I put it all in a bowl, and tossed a little grated parmesan and romano in with it.
