2¼ cups plain flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
½lb butter (about 200g, I think)
¾ cup white sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
100g chocolate chips
Mix the flour, salt and baking soda in a small bowl. Set to one side.
Melt the butter over a low heat. Mix the sugar, brown sugar and melted butter in a large bowl. Add the eggs and stir the mixture into a creamy paste. Stir in the vanilla.
Add the flour about ¼ or ½ cup at a time, stirring to thicken up the dough. When the flour has been thoroughly mixed into the dough, stir in the chocolate chips.
Drop small spoonfuls of the dough on a warmed baking sheet, and bake for 5 - 10 minutes at 375F (Gas Mark 5ish).
