Please enjoy some melt-in-your-mouth shortbread on me.

Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons almond extract
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
2. Sift together the confectioners' sugar, cornstarch, and flour.
3. Whip butter with an electric mixer until airy/fluffy (about 15 minutes). Add almond extract and salt and whip for 5 more minutes.
4. Stir in the dry ingredients. Beat on low for one minute, then on high for 3 to 4 minutes.
5. Pipe cookies 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
6. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Watch that the edges don't brown too much.
7. Cool thoroughly on wire racks before consuming.
